Hull PorchFest is a 501c(3) non-profit organization founded in 2018 by Hull resident and musician Tom Hardey. Since then we’ve raised money for an annually-rotating list of worthy causes, in addition to celebrating our vibrant music community. In the past we’ve supported the Anne M. Scully Senior Center and the Hull High School Band Program.

This year, Hull PorchFest is proud to raise funds for our local U.S. Veterans through the Hull Lifesaving Museum's growing array of free programs for those who have served, including:

  • The HLM monthly meeting that’s attended by 50 or so Vets from Hull, as well as other South Shore towns, and features expert-led talks on topics important to Veterans, such as PTSD, Agent Orange, family and health care, and more. Attendees receive info on community events, andlearn about local programs and opportunities available to Veterans.

  • The HLM Veterans rowing program that gets Vets out on the water where they’re able to build strength as well as enjoy camaraderie. Museum staff works to ensure the program’s success by accommodating participating Vets who face health challenges.

  •  The HLM Veterans’ boat-building program where veterans work onsite, alongside staff, in a flexible and welcoming environment where they learn and practice skills and where they also enjoy camaraderie.

  • The HLM-sponsored boat for Veterans at the museum’s annual Snow Row, the open-water rowing race that typically draws about 50 Veterans and Vet family members.

Hull PorchFest gladly welcome donations (by check or Venmo), which we’ll put toward these and other Vet programs initiated by the museum once we’ve covered PorchFest operating costs. If you have questions please contact us!
